If you are trying to print something and getting the silent treatment from your printer, one of the first things to check that your printer and computer are connected to Wi-Fi.
- Start by checking that your computer is connected to Wi-Fi by clicking on Wi-Fi icon on the bottom right of your computer. If you Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
-If not connected, connect to your wireless network and test printer
-If connected move to #2 - Now we are going to test your printer’s connectivity.
-The most common way to diagnose this is to run a Network Test Report from your printer’s touchscreen control panel. Review the report to see if you are connected.
If you are not connected, restart your wireless router and printer simultaneously to see if they will reconnect on their own.
If not, try running your wireless setup wizard again – usually found on all printer touch screen control panels.
-If you are connecting to Wi-Fi for the first time, follow the instructions in your printer’s manual to connect. You will need your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password to complete the process.
